The Search for Bottled Treasure

Have a scavenger hunt while sitting still! How in the world is it possible to have a scavenger hunt if you’re sitting still? Is that even possible? With Wactivities, anything is possible! Also, because this hunt is in a bottle.

Become a pirate and search for your buried treasure in a bottle! What you’ll need:

• 1 Used Water Bottle or Jar (or something clear)

• Uncooked Rice

• Teeny Tiny Items (list below)

• And last, but certainly not least, 1 Pirate

Step 1: Make sure the bottle or jar is EMPTY, and you’re clearly able to see into the bottle.

Step 2: Fill the empty bottle or jar THREE-QUARTERS (3/4) FULL with the uncooked rice.

Step 3: Add a variety of teeny tiny items into the bottle or jar.

Step 4: Seal the treasure with the top, and shake or twist the bottle to find all of the treasures!

This is a great activity for a long car ride! Try it out and let us know what treasures you searched for in your bottle! Enjoy!

Notes

Keep track of what treasures you put in the bottle! Try using at least 5 items for small bottles, and at least 10 items for bigger bottles. If you don’t have rice, try something similar like Orzo, or another small pasta!

Coin, Hair clip (bobby pin or barrette), button, small leggo piece, action figure, key ring hoop, Barbie doll’s hair brush, safety pin, peanut, sunflower seed, small army man, marble, paperclip, and many more!
