Secret Oreo

Shhhhhhhh….. Can you keep a secret?

I hope so. ‘Cause this wacky activity (=wactivity) is secret on two levels. (1) The outcome has secret Oreoes hidden inside! YUM! (2) This recipe is SO stinkin’ easy, but takes so crazy good that folks think you are some kind of baking genius, so let’s just keep it a secret between us that it’s really really easy, K?

What you need:

~ One box of your favorite brownie mix (I strongly recommend Ghirardelli Double Chocolate – and no, they are not a sponsor, and, yes, I would welcome them).

~ A Bunch of Oreos, whatever stuff level & size you prefer.

& of course, one wacky baker!

What to do:

~ Prepare the brownies as directed on the box (do all the preheating, pan lining, etc that they say). Once you are done mixing it the prescribed 50 times, now comes the magic:

~ Pour only 1/2 of the batter into the pan.

~ Cover the batter with a layer of Oreos. Nestle ’em right in there. You’ll see I went crazy with two sizes.
