Watch out, WhyNotters, this Wactivity is a choose your own adventure kind – one that is bound to make you say yum.

Peep lover or peep avoider, this one is deliciously worth a try. Why not?

What you need:

Screen Shot 2014-09-22 at 11.35.24 AM~ popped popcorn poured into bowls + cookie sheets for cooling (I lined mine with parchment paper to avoid a clean up. Tinfoil would work too)

~ peeps (whatever color/animal your heart desires)

~ butter (just a bit)

~ other awesome add-ins (e.g. I did Reece’s Peanut Butter Eggs (YUM!)Screen Shot 2014-09-22 at 11.34.59 AM in one batch and mini chocolate chips in another. Other ideas: nuts, M&Ms, skittles, gummy worms, whatever!)

~ & one or more Wacky WhyNotters!

What to do:

Screen Shot 2014-09-22 at 11.35.42 AM~ melt your butter over medium heat in a pot (nonstick is great but whatever works)

~ when it’s melty, toss in about 4 peeps, any color/animal

~ keep stirring the poor peeps while they do the Wicked Witch of the West melting routine (don’t let ’em burn)

~ pour the fully melted peeps over the popcorn in a bowl + toss in Screen Shot 2014-09-22 at 11.35.14 AMwhatever add-ins your wild self desires.

~ stir

~ make into little balls (like I did with the chocolate chips) or other shapes (notice those FANCY birds eggs, yep, you too could strive for such edible art!) and let them cool on the covered cookie sheet.

~ eat and enjoy!

Want to take it further? Mix it up! Why not?

– what happens if you blend peep colors?

– what else could you pour it on? (Cereal, perhaps?)

– YOU tell me, what else can you think of?

Note: I changed it up a bit, but you can find my source inspiration on the Wactivity Pinterest page!
