Sometimes you need to step up and make life a little more jazzy.

We own these fully functional cork trivets but they were just oh-so-plain. Life is waaaay too interesting and entirely to important to have things that make you feel just “Eh.” So I decided to change my destiny! (Or at least the destiny of the overly dull trivets.)

What to gather:

~ grab a cork something that is too plain for your fabulous self.

~ grab some paint. Paint markers would work or you could do what we did and grab a stencil and some acrylic paint.

~ get some sealer (spray stuff works well)

~ one crafty, wacky WhyNotter (of course!).

What to do:

~ Decorate to your heart’s delight!

We stuck with a single color theme but you could go wild with these. And if trivet’s ain’t part of your weekly wildness (I know, I know, crazy stuff) note that this would work with any cork base.
